Guided and Inspired by Sri Kaleshwar

Bhajan and Indian Music Studies at Sri Kaleshwar’s Soul University

You can check any ashram, any place, you won’t find these types of rhythms anywhere. This is soft, melodious and easy so that any person can catch on to it. They can get it. They will get it. If you are tuned to soft music, of course, your thoughts, your actions, your movements, your lifestyle, everything, will become soft.

Learning the Shiva Sai Mandir Music style of bhajans is a deep training in both theory and practice. Bhajans follow inner laws and were composed based on the ancient knowledge from the Indian tradition. This knowledge points to the healing aspects of sound vibration and the affect it has on the body, mind, heart and soul. When you sing a bhajan you begin to know who you are. Bhajan singing, at its core, connects you to the energy of God and allows you to recognize that we are all one. To merge with the cosmic energy, to merge with God, is our soul’s final ultimate goal. Singing bhajans is a pathway towards reaching that goal.

There is a rhythm in the soul and in the hearts of every one of us — a rhythm that reflects the nature of mankind. It is a rhythm that vibrates the source of who we are, why we came here, and where we will go from here. Whoever can play that rhythm, can lift humanity. The inner structure of a bhajan allows one to generate, send and receive divine transformative energy.

Singing bhajans is a very powerful healing for oneself and for others. Sri Kaleshwar calls it, Sangeetha Prakshalana, the healing of the heart through listening to melodious music.

Gustav Vigneshwara and Sabeenamayi, bhajan leaders, teachers and performers of Shiva Sai Mandir Music, Penukonda, describe the transformative healing affects bhajan music has played in their lives. “Through the bhajans, we have experienced a connection to the cosmic energy and the power of it. Bhajans have a tremendous capacity to transform people. We are a living example of the power of bhajans. They have helped us to become more authentic, relaxed, clear, shining, happy, dedicated, surrendered, truthful and loving human beings and have taught us what it means to be present, in the very moment of time and space.”

Sri Kaleshwar made a clear statement saying that Shiva Sai Mandir Music of Penukonda needs strong roots in order to ensure that this style of melodious and healing music stays on the planet. To grow these strong roots every one who is interested can participate and become a part of the music through offered teachings and trainings.
